He said Jared, 42, and wife Heidi Nunes, 40, traveled to Europe to celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary.

Deadpool 2 stuntwoman killed on film set identified as professional road racer Joi ‘SJ’ Harris

A stuntwoman who died on the set of Deadpool 2 in a motorbike scene that went wrong has been named as Joi ‘SJ’ Harris. Harris, who was believed to be the stunt double for actress Zazie Beetz who plays Domino in the film, was a professional road racer born in Brooklyn, New York.

According to her website, she was the first licensed black woman “in U.S. history to actively compete in AMA (American Motorcyclist Association) sanctioned motorcycle road racing events.”

Deadpool 2 is believed to be her first film as a stunt driver, reports TMZ.

Just days ago she shared a series of scenic photos on Facebook that were taken in Vancouver.

“Just taking in the sites,” she wrote.

Harris had successfully completed the stunt four times in the Canadian city’s Jack Poole Plaza, before disaster stuck on the fifth attempt.

Local media said Harris appeared to lose control of the motorbike, which drove off the set and through the window of a building across the street.

It was reported that the “the throttle somehow engaged” and the rider lost control while ‘stood’ on the motorbike.

Police and ambulance rushed to the scene and the rider was put in an Advanced Life Support ambulance.

However, the vehicle remained at the scene for 45 minutes – and eventually left for the hospital without lights and sirens.

Sexiest female motorcyclist’ famed for her Instagram stunts killed in horror crash

A female biker dubbed Russia’s sexiest motorcyclist has been killed in a horror crash while racing down a motorway.

Olga Pronina was racing through the city of Vladivostok in Russia when she lost control of her BMW motorcycle and ploughed into a side railing on Monday evening.

The 40-year-old mum-of-one, who was known as Monika to her legion of fans on Instagram, was thrown from the bike and died before the emergency services could reach her.

The daring brunette who had over 150,000 followers on the social media site was described by friends as an adrenaline junkie who loved riding at high-speed.

In one of her last videos posted on Instagram last month, the thrill-chasing biker – who also worked as a hairdresser – is seen straddling a motorcycle sideways and drinking from a straw while riding at high-speed.

And she warned her followers: “By the way, doing 250kmph and holding one hand is very uncomfortable. I do not recommend. But I got my adrenaline dose.”

According to local reports, Olga had clocked up dozens of speeding offences.

Shocked pal Eduard Hasanov told local media: “She was breaching every rule of safety and riding at high-speed pretty often. Her death is incredibly tragic.”

Another friend who arrived at the scene 10 minutes after the accident said: “She was high-speeding and the rear wheel of the bike was lying 600 metres from the scene.

“We tried to find her action camera, but could not find it.”

Fitness blogger killed by exploding whipped cream dispenser

A French fitness blogger has been killed by an exploding whipped cream dispenser which hit her in the chest, giving her a heart attack.

Rebecca Burger’s family announced her death on social media, where she has amassed a following of more than 200,000 with her fitness focused posts.
They said the 33-year-old died as the result of a ‘domestic accident’ at her home in eastern France, and later shared a photograph of the dispenser which killed her.

In their post, the family explained how it exploded and flying parts of it hit the young model’s thorax.

French media reported that it brought on a heart attack and that this is what caused her death.

Warning others of the dangers, the family said: ‘This is an example of the cream siphon which exploded and hit Rebecca’s thorax, causing her death.

‘The siphon which caused her death was sealed. Don’t use this product in your homes! Tens of thousands of the faulty devices are already in circulation.’

They did not name the brand of the dispenser.

Women’s Best, the online health store which Burger promoted for online, also mourned her death in an Instagram post.

At least 29 schoolchildren killed in Tanzania bus crash

At least 29 final year primary school pupils were killed in a bus crash in northern Tanzania on Saturday, along with two teachers and the driver, the school’s director said.

“We lost 29 students and two of our staff, and the driver died too,” said Innocent Mushi, director of the Lucky Vincent Primary School in the northern city of Arusha, which the children attended. The dead included 12 boys and 17 girls, he said.

At least three survivors were pulled from the crash site by rescuers and rushed to hospital.

“It’s a huge tragedy,” Mushi said.

The accident happened early on Saturday when the bus went off the road and into the Marera river gorge in Karatu district.

The final year primary pupils — commonly aged between 12 and 14 years old — were on their way to sit mock examinations ahead of seeking places at secondary school.

President John Magufuli sent his condolences to the families of the dead.

“This accident extinguishes the dreams of these children who were preparing to serve the nation, it is an immense pain for the families involved and for the whole nation,” Magufuli said in a statement.

Boko Haram raid killed nine Nigerian soldiers

Nine Nigerian soldiers were killed and 14 others are missing feared abducted after an attack this week by suspected Boko Haram jihadists in the violence-torn northeast, security sources said Thursday.

Authorities had on Tuesday said five soldiers were killed and five others injured in the raid on a military post near the village of Sabon Garin Kimba about 140 kilometres (90 miles) from Maiduguri, the birthplace of Boko Haram.

“The number of fatalities on our side has risen to nine with the discovery of four more bodies of our troops,” said a military officer with knowledge of the incident.

“Since the attack 14 other soldiers remain missing. Their fate is unknown,” said the officer who asked to remain anonymous because he was not authorised to speak on the incident.

Scores of fighters loyal to the Boko Haram faction headed by Abu Musab Al-Barnawi stormed the checkpoint late Monday.

The Islamic State group last year appointed Al-Barnawi as head of Boko Haram, replacing long-time leader Abubakar Shekau.

Mustapha Karimbe, a member of an anti-Boko Haram militia, said he feared the missing soldiers had been seized.

“Fourteen soldiers are unaccounted for, they have been missing since the attack and the fear is that they have have been abducted by the terrorists,” Karimbe said.

The jihadists carrying heavy weapons engaged troops at the checkpoint in a shootout and forced the soldiers to withdraw. Karimbe said the jihadists took military vehicles and burned three armoured cars along with makeshift sheds.

This was the second attack on the same military checkpoint in under a month.

Late last month, jihadists dressed in Nigerian military uniforms attacked the checkpoint and forced soldiers to withdraw before looting food and medical supplies from the village.

Boko Haram has in recent weeks intensified attacks on military targets in the northeast.

The insurgency began in northeast Nigeria and has spread to Chad, Cameroon and Niger, claiming more than 20,000 lives and displacing 2.6 million people.
