Harvey Weinstein has issued a response to Lupita Nyong’o’s op-ed in The New York Times, which saw her join the growing list of stars accusing the Hollywood producer of harassment and assault .Weinstein denied the claims through a statement made by a representative, making her one of very few actors Weinstein has responded to directly – he also issued a response denying allegations made by Ashley Judd.
“Mr. Weinstein has a different recollection of the events, but believes Lupita is a brilliant actress and a major force for the industry,” the statement reads “Last year, she sent a personal invitation to Mr. Weinstein to see her in her Broadway show Eclipsed.”Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein,” the statement reads. “Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances.”
Courtney Love publicly warned women about Harvey Weinstein more than a decade ago.
E News reports that,in an unearthed video posted by TMZ on Saturday, rocker and actress Courtney Love was on the red carpet at Comedy Central’s Roast of Pamela Anderson in 2005.
Leggero, who was interviewing stars on behalf of the cable network, asked Love, “Do you have any advice for a young girl moving to Hollywood?”

Harvey Weinstein has said he ‘encouraged’ his wife, Georgina Chapman, ‘to do what was in her heart’ before she announced she was leaving the movie mogul. Weinstein who is accused of sexual harassment by a string of women, said that he ‘supports’ her decision and hopes that after he undergoes therapy for sex addiction ,they can ‘rebuild’ their relationship.
Weinstein flew to Europe by private jet, where he will submit himself to a live-in facility in hopes of cleaning his act.
In a statement by his spokesperson, Weinstein said:
‘I support her decision, I am in counseling and perhaps, when I am better, we can rebuild.’ Over the last week, there has been a lot of pain for my family that I take responsibility for. I sat down with my wife Georgina, who I love more than anything, and we discussed what was best for our family.
‘We discussed the possibility of a separation and I encouraged her to do what was in her heart. I understand, I love her and I love our children and hopefully, when I am better, I will be in their lives again.’

In a statement to PEOPLE, Chapman, 41, said: “My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions.
“I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time.”
Just days ago, Oscar winner Weinstein , the executive producer of the The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, said: “I have had tough conversations with my family, really tough ones, but my family is standing with me… Georgina will be with others kicking my a** to be a better human being and to apologise to people for my bad behaviour.”
