There were claims last week that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had called off their divorce after splitting in September 2016.
Sources quickly told DailyMail.com that was not true, and on Tuesday TMZ insisted that the actors are ‘deep’ in divorce negotiations.
It was added that the 42-year-old Oscar winner and the 53-year-old Allied star will never get back together after allegations of abuse over one of their six kids – Maddox, 15; Pax, 13; Shiloh, 11; Zahara, 12; and twins Vivienne and Knox, nine – were made public.
‘Both sides are hashing out both child custody and property settlements, and the divorce is full steam ahead,’ a source told the site.
And a reunion is not going to happen because ‘Angelina made extremely damaging allegations against Brad, claiming he was abusive to their kids,’ added the insider.
In September 2016, there was an alleged ‘altercation’ that involved Brad and Maddox aboard a private jet that was heading from Nice, France to Los Angeles, California; after they landed, Angelina ‘kicked him out,’ according to Vanity Fair.
Brad has since been cleared of any wrongdoing, but that was only after the FBI and DCFS were involved.
They have not been photographed together in a year.
Last week Us Weekly claimed the former power couple have not moved forward with proceedings to end their marriage.
A new report by Us Weekly sees multiple sources claiming the former power couple, who had a very public and very bitter split in September 2016, have not moved forward with proceedings to end their marriage.
One insider told the publication: ‘The divorce is off. They haven’t done anything to move it forward in several months and no one thinks they are ever going to.’
The reason given for the stalling of legal proceedings is Brad coming clean about his boozing in an interview with GQ this past May.
A friend of Jolie, 42, told Us Weekly that the commitment to self-improvement has struck a chord with the actress, who reportedly previously claimed she would consider taking Brad back ‘if he showed he was committed to raising a family’.
The source went on to add that Brad had ‘got sober to try and win her back’ and that the move to quit drinking was ‘all she ever wanted’.
Meanwhile, the insider claims: ‘Everyone thinks they are going to get back together.
The 53-year-old actor graced the cover of GQ magazine, the first time he has appeared on the cover of any magazine since his split with Angelina Jolie last August. The actor appeared on three different covers for the magazine, gazing soulfully at the camera in each one. The interview, which has not yet been released, is the first since his split with estranged wife Angelina.
Brad and photographer Ryan McGinley travel to White Sands National Monument, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, and Everglades National Park and the photos are a result of that trip.
He then sits down for a personal interview, which GQ describes as a ‘raw and reflective’ conversation about ‘love, loss, fatherhood, and how to move forward after things fall apart.’
But it does appear as if things are improving between him and his family as it was reported last week that his six children stayed with him at his Los Feliz home in Los Angeles for the first time in seven months.
The Fury star welcomed Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins, Vivienne and Knox along with their two nannies for the weekend.
The 53-year-old and the kids ‘had a family dinner around the table, which Brad truly enjoyed,’ a source told In Touch Weekly last Wednesday.
‘It was total chaos, as the kids all wanted to eat different things, and Brad was grateful to have a chef who accommodated all of their requests,’ the insider dished.
Angelina, 41, insisted the nannies joined the children, according to the insider, ‘because she is the one with sole physical custody of the children. Brad has no need to have his own nannies right now.’ It was also recommended by the family therapist.
According to Dailymailonline reports, in recent months the 53-year-old has been locking himself away in a Los Angeles art studio while nursing a broken heart following his split from Angelina Jolie.
As the father-of-six arrived at his creative bolthole this week, the actor often described as the ‘sexiest man alive’ looked a shadow of his former self.
It seems his divorce from Angelina, 41, and the ugly legal war that followed has taken a toll.
He didn’t attend the Oscars, despite being one of the producers on Best Picture winner Moonlight. He instead spent the day in the studio and later watched the ceremony on TV, according to insiders.
Angelina recently returned to Los Angeles after taking her six children – Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, Knox, Maddox and Pax – to Europe where she spoke in London on behalf of greater efforts to document and prosecute crimes of rape and sexual violence in war.
She also spoke in strong defense of the UN during a ceremony in Geneva honoring Sergio Vieira de Mello, the U.N. envoy to Iraq who died in a 2003 bombing attack in Baghdad.
The Oscar-winning actress also recently took her children to Cambodia for the premiere of her new movie First They Killed My Father about the brutal Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia.
Two months after the former couple hired a private judge to deal with their divorce and custody issues. Brad Pitt, 53, and Angelina Jolie, 41, are once again communicating for the first time in a while. A source tells E! News. ”
“Things have calmed settled between Brad and Angelina. It’s not as tense as it had been,”They are focused on the kids and working to do what’s best for them.Brad has been able to spend more time with the kids. He’s doing well and is focused on healthy, clean living. He’s in a good place.
As for Pitt and Jolie’s level of communication, an insider close to the actor says it’s limited but positive.
“They recently started talking again and it’s a significant step. Up until now everything was through lawyers and assistants,” the insider says. “They did not speak at all after the plane incident and everything that went down in the press.” The decision to communication directly came “at the recommendation of the children’s therapists and their own,” the insider says, and the amicable exes “are focused on the kids and taking small steps to mend what has happened. Right now they are only speaking about the kids and their schedules, but it’s a positive step.””Brad hopes that they can be successful at co-parenting and get to a place where they can be friendly,” the insider close to Pitt tells E! News. “They both have agreed to put the kids first.”
These never-seen-before photos show Angelina Jolie getting tattooed by a Thai ex-monk. Famed tattoo artist Ajarn Noo Kanpai was flown from Bangkok to Siem Reap in Cambodia, where she was filming. The mystical ink was applied using steel rods mounted with a surgical steel needle more accurate than a tattoo gun, but also much more painful.
According to Sunday Mirror, the three Sak yant tattoos were applied to her back while her ex Brad Pitt was given a Buddhist symbol on his stomach.
The photographs were taken as Angelina directed Netflix movie First They Killed My Father in February last year.
The two designs were intended “to symbolically bind them as husband and wife”, but their marriage fell apart just months later. They separated in September 2016.
