Emily Ratajkowski has said she is “extremely disappointed” after a French magazine photoshopped her cover photo by lifting her boobs and altering the size of her lips.
The stunner, who appeared on the cover of the latest Madame Figaro magazine, took to Instagram to express her dismay.
Posting the original image next to the photoshopped version, the American model wrote that she was “was extremely disappointed to see my lips and breasts altered in photoshop on this cover”.
The changes made to the image, however, might be hard to spot.
Her lips were made slightly thinner and her breasts, which are covered up for the most part, were given a small lift.
However minute the alterations, the We Are Your Friends stunner had strong feelings about it.
“Everyone is uniquely beautiful in their own ways. We all have insecurities about the things that make us different from a typical ideal of beauty,” she wrote
“I, like so many of us, try every day to work past those insecurities. I was extremely disappointed to see my lips and breasts altered in photoshop on this cover. I hope the fashion industry will finally learn to stop trying to stifle the things that make us unique and instead begin to celebrate individuality.”
One fan who seemed to share her sentiments, commented: “You’re literally the ‘typical ideal of beauty’. This magazine attempted to make you look “less attractive” with a smaller bust and smaller lips. It’s bizarre, but not a great example of the fashion industry’s unattainable ideals.”
Another one wrote: “Why did they do that?! You are naturally beautiful! Face and body!”
