Last night a 3.6-magnitude earthquake was felt in Los Angeles, leaving many celebrities understandably—and literally—shook. Several stars took to Twitter shortly after the earthquake to express their distress. “I literally put a glass of water down on my night stand and the whole room started shaking. I was so beyond confused,” Josh Gad tweeted. “WHAT THE F-CK WAS THAT?!!!!!!! Was that an earthquake?! The f-ck! Y’all really ok with the ground randomly moving out here?!!” wrote Gabourey Sidibe, which accurately sums up how I would’ve reacted in this moment.
Chrissy Teigen, naturally, had the best reaction of the bunch. (She is the Queen of Twitter, after all. What did you expect?) She didn’t just write one tweet about the earthquake; that’s child’s play. Nope, she gave the world a dramatic, full-on monologue.
“Earthquake. oh my god I told u surgery is in metrograde,” she wrote. “It woke me up and I almost peed my pants. first earthquake since giving birth. I am definitely peeing for anything bigger.”
She then responded to a few fans living for her earthquake commentary. “LA earthquake twitter is the biggest group of chatty, dramatic babies (I am president),” she tweeted before adding, “I typed in ‘I am shook’ into the search to see if I would be first.”
But her best tweet was this little piece of hilarious shade toward her husband, John Legend, who apparently didn’t answer her calls during the quake. “@johnlegend hey I’m alive it’s fine you don’t have to answer your phone I WOULDNT WANT U TO WORRY,” she wrote. Hilarious. Amazing. Pulitzer.
