Madonna has moved to Lisbon to help make her son David a football star. The 59-year-old songstress is said to have moved to Portugal so her 11-year-old can join the youth academy at top football club S.L. Benfica, after The Mail On Sunday revealed in June that she had bought a home in the capital.
Local media reported of Thursday: ‘Madonna is no longer a tourist, she now lives in Lisbon’, hot on the heels of the news that she was ‘uprooting’ her family from their New York home to start a new life.
In June, The Mail established that the singer was planning to leave the family home in New York and relocate 3,300 miles so that David can play in the junior squad.
It was reported that she bought a spectacular £5million palace in the rolling hills outside Lisbon and is planning to enrol her younger children at the city’s exclusive £30,000-a-year French Lycée.
