But Rihanna was pictured greeting France’s First Lady, Brigitte Macron at the top of the steps of the Elysee Palace, the official residence of the French presidents in Paris, before talks with the President.
Shunning her usual controversial attire, the 29-year-old wore a grey suit with an oversized black blazer over the top.
French President Emmanuel Macron later met Rihanna after she appealed to him on Twitter to contribute to her fund for education in developing countries.
The First Lady was meeting Rihanna in her role as head and founder of the Clara Lionel charity foundation, a nonprofit organization that funds education and health programs for impoverished communities across the globe.
Last month, Rihanna, who has dozens of millions of Twitter followers, tweeted the newly elected French president:
‘Bonjour (at)EmmanuelMacron, will France commit to (hash)FundEducation?’
In February, the Observer reported that Harvard named Rihanna the Humanitarian of the Year.
And in May, she was honoured at the 69th Annual Parsons Benefit for her contributions to music, fashion and philanthropy.
