Piers Morgan has issued a public apology to pop star Ariana Grande after watching her comfort a crying schoolgirl at her One Love Manchester benefit concert.
Last week he slammed the singer for flying back to the USA after a suicide bomber killed 22 innocent people – including children – at the end of her concert at Manchester Arena.
He claimed she should have been visiting the injured in hospitals instead of jetting off hours after the terror attack.
Tonight he admitted he had ‘misjudged’ the young singer and apologised to her on Twitter, saying: “I misjudged you, Ariana Grande & I apologise.
“You’re an admirable young woman & this is a magnificent night. Respect.
He ended his tweet with a ‘thumbs up’ emoji and the #OneLoveManchester hashtag.
His critical comments came after the Queen was pictured visiting teens at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital on May 25.
Katy Perry tweeted a message of support – which Piers immediately jumped on.
