The suicide bomber, alleged to have been an Isis fighter, detonated the explosives just metres from a group of Syrian rebel soldiers. The graphic footage appeared online on Tuesday and was filmed as the battle continued in the war-ravaged city of Raqqa. In the 37-second video, gun fire can be heard as troops from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) gather next to a tank.
The soldiers then begin to move into a more offensive position moments before the huge blast unfolds. Then, a man can be seen charging around the corner from a countryside building where the men are stood, before he detonates himself. Despite the horrific video, the fanatic was the only person killed in the barbaric attack, according to news agency Qasioun.
